This was a group assignment that was created in 2020. The brief for the task was to create a digital learning resource for your learners.
Our group decided to create an informal course for older learners to give them some information about digital tools such as social media, how to keep safe online and how to use online shopping sites.
A survival Guide to the Digital Age
During the design process our group used the OTARA framework (Hunt nd) which we thought was useful particularly in the design and develop stages. The design stages are presented in the chart below.
OTARA places considerable emphasis on what students will do to meet the learning objectives and is not dissimilar to the ADDIE framework. It ensures that assessment is lined up with objectives, topics, learning activities and resources.
Overall I found that the learning resource reflects this framework and it was an interesting experience to apply this model.
